George Figdor’s Bio

I’ve been living in a small town in alaska (haines) for the past 40 years.

I had a sweet, 38-year-long marriage to bobbi adelman (from west phila.). she sadly died about seven years ago.

We built a solar/wind-powered house together in alaska in the mid 70s. raised two kiddos. lived in micronesia for several years. before that we served as VISTA volunteers on an Indian reservation in western washington and lived in seattle for a while.

I worked in photography and journalism for many years. now i’m working more at growing my own food and being a conservation and peace activist.
