After getting my Ph.D. in Materials Science from Penn, I worked for 30 years at the Pittsburgh branch of an international industrial corporation (eventually becoming Engineering Manager), and retired in 2005. But I am so busy now I don’t know how I had time to go to work!
I am happily married, with three dogs and two cats. Our dogs compete in the sport of agility (an obstacle course for dogs). I am also an avid sailor, and have raced my 19-ft sailboat at regattas throughout the country and Canada. I was the President of our national sailing association, and am on the Board of Directors of our local canine training club.
