Reunion Agenda

4/26 Friday 12 PM to 3:00PM:

Meet at Central (Spain Conference Center -which to most of you is the 2nd floor of the library). Guided tours to see CHS, esp. noting all the changes since your last visit, e.g. the library, science labs and classrooms, the Auditorium/Theatre rehab (post fire). We hope to have performances from 2 or 3 of the Cultural Clubs that now make-up a large part of Central’s After School Programs, for instance the Chinese ribbon dancers and the Indian-Pakistani Cultural Org. Ballywood show.

Refreshments include Lee’s hoagies, Tastykakes, and soft pretzels. @ $20. (Small donation to Library Fund, and to performing clubs, incl.)

Parking is available on the edge of the Blacktop. Enter CHS through the North Door (Flagpole side)

The Marriott Courtyard (Across from City Hall) at 21 N. Juniper Street is the “Reunion” Hotel. They have a wonderful room rate of $144 (+ tax) per night for our reunion.

Please call and make your reservation asap. They have put aside 40 rooms. (. . . and you won’t get a better rate anywhere in Center City Philadelphia.)

4/26 Friday 8 PM 11 PM:

Meet & Greet Cocktail Hour (Anti- Ballroom Marriott Courtyard) Get original class pins, re-meet your past. With Hors D’oeuvres, and Top $helf Cash Bar. @$25

4/27 Saturday 9 AM until 7 PM:

On your own… Re-visit Philadelphia CC and go to Philly’s touring spots. (All within walking distance of the Marriott or just a small bus ride convenient to downtown Philly)

The Barnes (Newest addition to the Parkway) * must MAKE A RESERVATION ASAP.

The Art Museum (Exhibit then)

The Zoo small ride from CC

The Franklin Institute (Big Screen movie/major exhibit in town)

Black History Museum

Jewish Museum – new jewel museum on Market Street at 5th

National Liberty Museum, 321 Chestnut St. (Fantastic glass sculptures!)

Independence Hall * and Historical sites

The Constitution Center – a Grand museum on Arch through Race on 6th

4/27 Saturday 7 PM — 11 PM:

Cocktail Hour (Ballroom Marriott Courtyard Hotel)

Top $helf Cash Bar

Hors D’oeuvres (Veggie Spring Roll, Beef Wellington, Sesame Chix Strips, and Cozy Shrimp)

Final Banquet Dinner (Caesar Salad, with one choice: NY Strip Steak /

Vegetarian Ravioli / Salmon

Followed by Dessert & Coffee @ $95 (which includes a donation to Central for a 218 Class Chair in the new Auditorium)

The Central High Chamber Music Quartet will entertain us during the cocktail hour.

When sending your payment for dinner, please designate your choice of entree(s) with your check to Barry.

The total for the 3 events is $140 per person. If you have already sent in a payment, you may send in the balance now, preferred – or give it to us at the event. Donations are happily accepted to help those classmates who may be unable to attend for financial reasons. Please mail payment to:
